Ilene received her undergraduate degree from the University of Kansas in 1998 and continued her studies to earn her Masters of Education in Mental Health Counseling in 2003. Ilene has worked as a child development expert in this community for over 20 years. She has held a variety of positions such as home visitor, early childhood center consultant, and a social skills and parent support group leader. Ilene has also been doing outpatient therapy with children under the age of twelve for the past six years
Monique has been part of the Carolina Pediatrics of the Triad family for over 6 years as a Certified Medical Assistant for Dr. Cooper. During that time, she earned both a Bachelor of Science in Public Health and Master’s in Public Health at South University. Monique has over 15 years of experience working and developing relationships with infants, youth and diverse families through the medical field, residential placements and non-profit organizations.
Carolina Pediatrics of the Triad welcomed the HealthySteps program in September 2019 to partner with our providers by offering support to our families with children under the age of four. This support ranges from linkage to community resources, guidance around behavioral concerns, and monitoring child development, postpartum depression, and family needs assessments.
