Important Message for Patients of Dr. Bates

Dear CPT families,

If 2020 has taught us anything, it is the reminder that the only thing constant is change. We have a few temporary changes taking place in our practice due to the unforeseen circumstances of 2020. After careful and intentional consideration, Dr. Bates has decided to take a personal leave of absence effective October 9, 2020.

Regarding her upcoming absence, Dr. Bates stated “I am sad to announce that I will be taking a leave of absence starting in October due to the ongoing pandemic.  This has not been an easy decision for me, as I greatly love my job and providing care for your families. I will truly miss seeing your children during my absence.”

Dr. Bates’ patients should not worry. To make it a little easier on you, Dr. Melvin will be the first doctor we offer you to help take care of your children. You still will have a primary doctor. All of our other doctors will also assist during this time and we all look forward to Dr. Bates’ return.

We support Dr. Bates in what we know was a hard decision for her as a provider and we thank you for your continued trust in Carolina Pediatrics of the Triad. Please contact our office if you have any questions or concerns.
